The first event is first "First Floor"-starred chef Rolf Schmidt devoted: The legend Rolf Schmidt cooks alongside chef Matthias Diether. On 15 March 2013 guests are invited to the Sterneduo "classic evening", where Schmidt's classics such as the "Breton lobster on beans and pink grapefruit with olive nage" and the legendary "Beef Tea", which were prized by the Michelin gourmet guide can be enjoyed. On 16 March 2013 the restaurant provides a 6-course gala menu, created by two chefs for pure pleasure. There also is planned a highlight event with the second "First Floor" chef Matthias Buchholz in the second half.
20 years ago, on 20 April 1993, the "First Foor" was opened as a gourmet restaurant at the Hotel Palace Berlin and after five years under the direction of chef Rolf Schmidt Michelin Guide awarded a Michelin star. Since April 2010, guests can enjoy the innovative, lightweight, European star cuisine of Matthias Diether, whose roots are in the French haute cuisine. Delicate, precise, often subtle each dish is a small work of art.
